Revisiting My Grandma's Quilt - Block 8
I do love a good Scotch stitch and block 8 doesn’t disappoint! Simple yet effective!
On the 18 count mono canvas, I used a variety of thread weights:
Caron Watercolours (Perle 5) - the coverage is very good but I found that the thread got fuzzy very quickly. I am wondering if the holes in the canvas are a little smaller since I planted the canvas (maybe less paint!!)

Caron Wildflowers (Perle - thread coverage was a little light with some canvas visible. I didn’t mind it with the Scotch stitch.

Caron Waterlilies - 4 strands. Looks good. Coverage is nice and no fuzzy threads!!

24 count congress cloth
As in previous blocks both the stranded silk (3 strands) and the Wildflowers (Perle 8 equivalent) worked well on the 24 count. I like the coverage and look for both of these thread weights.
