Canada Strong and Free - A New Colour Way

Canada Strong and Free - A New Colour Way

One of our local guild members, Jane, recently stitched Canada Strong and Free with new colourway!

She used 28 count evenweave instead of 18 count monocanvas.  Stitched over 2 threads on the evenweave, this would make the finished size a little larger.  (make sure to compensate the size of your fabric if you choose to stitch on evenweave).

For the fillers, she used the following threads:

DMC Colour Variations - 4210 (Radiant Ruby), 4130 (Chilean Sunset), 4126 (Desert Canyon). and Classic Colourworks - Dandelion Stem (CCT-119)

She outlined the leaves with DMC Etoille C471, C725, C436 and C841.

Jane used 2 strands for most of the stitches, and 3 strands where she wanted more coverage.

It's wonderful to see the versatility of this pattern!  The selection of threads that Jane has used are just lovely - a little deeper than the original colourway and just as beautiful!
