2026 Mini-Pillow Stitch Along - Lisa's April mini pillow
The April mini pillow turned out really nicely! I am very happy with the thread selections for this block! I didn't use as much of the green that I planned to!
For the center stitches, I decided on a lovely overdyed Threadworx Kreinik #4 braid (71053) for the rhodes hearts in the center. The colour change in the thread is amazing and I love the colours!
You could use a #8 weight easily for this stitch.
The beads are on. These beads sparkle with turquoise/purple tones and are of my favourite colour of beads to use!

Caron Snow in purple (28 Violet) picks up the purple in the center Rhodes stitches nicely 
Petite Very Velvet V618 - one of my favourite threads! I have been wanting to use this colour for a while and found my opportunity with the April mini pillow.
And with a lovely light green DMC Perle #5 - 368 my April mini pillow is complete. I really like the light green border. It picks up the green in the threads I used for the center Rhodes stitches!
Here's a shot of the four monthly pillows - January, February, March and April. The backstitch has been added around the rice stitches and they are ready to be assembled!
