2026 Mini Pillow Stitch Along - Lisa's July Pillow
I’ve selected some interesting threads for the July pillow - one is a mystery thread - but I like the colour (teal of course)!

I used the mystery thread for the center stitches - a nice overdyed wool which had the same weight and feel as the Heathway threads. I am not sure how it ended up in my stash but it’s lovely! It has a little paper tag with the number 35 on it - definitely old. If you’ve an idea what brand it might be, please let me know!
The next set of teardrop Jessica’s are on the diagonal. They are a little more challenging to stitch because of this (I frogged a couple of times till I got the placement correct).
Deep teal Heathway threads (Teal 9) go well together with the mystery thread used for the other Jessicas.

And now for some sparkle! I found a partial card of Kreinik #12 - 002HL. This is a very heavy metallic thread on it looks awesome against the teal.

Back to the Heathway Marino wool threads. They are so nice to use! I picked the lightest teal (Teal 1) for the next set of stitches. After I finished stitching, I decided that the colour I picked may be a bit too light. I’ll finish stitching the pillow and will decide later if a different colour is needed here.

I used the darkest Heathway merino wool teal (Teal 9) thread for the border. I’m quite happy how this block is turning out but I’m still not sure of the stitches with the lightest teal.

I forgot how much I like working with beads. Mill Hill Glass Seed Beads 00557 - gold to complement the gold threads in a previous step.

decided not to remove the lightest teal and add some shimmer to the stitches.
Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure Braid - PB10 - shimmery white was a good choice.
It’s pretty!

And my July pillow is finished!
